Unexpected Free Gift from KFC

Like our usual Saturday morning, we will have our breakfast with the mood of leisure as weekend approaching. We went for our KFC breakfast after missing it quite sometimes. Normally i and Carmen will order each a set of breakfast. Look, this time we've got 2 tubes of Nescafe drink for free!

Meeting Up An Old Friend & Temple Visit on Kuan Yin Day 19.07.11

It has been a few years i didn't meet up with my college's friend, Carol Ng from Melaka, after she moved to her new house from Kepong to Puchong, as i am not so familiar with Puchong and hardly go there once i resigned.

I have plan a visit to her new house on one fine day and finally materialized as i need to go down Puchong to collect some documents for my Daddy. Unfortunately, the 20 minutes drive, turning into 1 and a half hour journey! The GPS is not functioning well, maybe need to be update again.

My friend is staying in a half a million priced 3 story link house in a guarded community! The price of house has gone up tremendously and now she is staying in a house close to the value of a million! I like her house very much, it's as beautiful as a hotel! The restrooms are superb in designs!

The day coincidence with Kuan Yin Day. She brings me along to a temple to pray and have some vegetarian dishes. I can never imagine that on a normal day, there were so many people crowded at the temple, from young and old. As young as babies and the older folks are present there. In my thoughts, only people in the small villages will pray, whereby, those living in hustle bustle city will hardly have any time to pray. This proof me wrong!

The temple we went is a small temple in the city surrounded by housing area. It seems so professional and they are many devotees working in there, lending their helping hands. There also serve as a charity organization, to handles donation from the public channel to a few needy organizations like the kidney foundation and etc..........    This is a wonderful place, an eye opening experience for me!

No doubt that myself is also a cartoon fans. I am still buying my favorite cartoon characters for my girls. I believe every child will have their favorite cartoon characters as a symbolic means to them at the young age. I have been through these stages, yet still, i am still frenzy about cartoon! 

Unbelievable? I have seen more and more NEW cartoon characters coming out to the market. The latest one that everyone is talking about is definitely ANGRY BIRDS! Nowadays even preschooler get to know them too! Advancements in technologies have brought the young children an option to explore the virtual world easily! 

White Board

I've got myself a writing board hanging to the wall of my kitchen! It's a mini one. The purpose is to remind myself of the daily household chores and also the important dates to keep track. I hope myself will not missed out any important dates and also could carry on to finished all the chores written!

Last Minute Trip 3rd - 4th July 2011

Yes, we have no where to go on the weekend. My sister invited us to Cameron Highlands with their business associates as they have rented a 4-rooms apartment there. Hubby agreed to join them after i told him on Friday night, when he came back from his work. I never thought that he asked me to packed immediately, and we will be staying overnight at my in-laws place before we move up the hill the next morning.

It has been more than 10 years i didn't have a chance to stay overnight in Cameron Highlands. Most of the visits wil be day trip as it's very near to Ipoh. I do remember, and it is still fresh in my mind that during my childhood time, my aunt (who has passed away) likes to bring me to Cameron Highland to stay overnight with her group of friends (mostly teachers). It's just like yesterday and she has gone forever now. *Sad*

Well, it's the first time my 2 little angels staying overnight on the hilltop with such a cooling  weather. I brought them the thickest clothing from their closet. Think this will be an eye opening experience for them, we brought them out late night to the night market to enjoy seeing the crowd and also buying a lot of snacks home. We hardly bring both of them together to night market.

The weather is cool, but not as cool as we think. Just nice for me and hubby without have to wear any extra jackets at night. The cool breeze always accompanied by rain. Therefore, it will be a bit troublesome when we need to go out. We didn't have a chance to procure what we wanted. The traffic police were all over the place to issue summon at the hot spot, we hardly can get a legal parking lot. *Sigh*

When thinking of how to celebrate the coming Fathers' Day, i have suggested that we will buy a cake for hubby. Carmen agreed, and on the very last minute, she asked me to bake some cakes instead of buying. I adores her effort. So, on Saturday, a day before Fathers' Day, i brought Carmen to procure some ingredients to make cupcake after i browse online for some simple recipe. I really have no idea of how the output will be.

I get the 2 girls busy helping me in the kitchen, i segregate them with some simple works, otherwise, they will mess up the kitchen place.Carmen will help me to beat the batter, while Jeanne will be taking out the paper cup for me to pour in the batter. To make them more excited, I let them play with my clean unused utensils too, so that they wont give me much trouble during the baking process while i can do cleaning.

Overall, i the cake looks nicer before baking, as i only realized that all the cake decorations are out of place after baking! The taste? Not bad la.....at least all finished up!

Teluk Batik 12.06.2011

Without knowing where to go for the past weekend, we think hard of.......where we want to go? After we think, think, think.......hubby suggested that we travel back to Ipoh and heading to Teluk Batik or Pangkor Island. I lazy to pack to go across the island, i suggested to him we only go Teluk Batik, as both girls love water and it's very short distance from our home.

This is the second time we bring the 2 girls there. This is the place where i met my hubby for the first time and it will always be in my mind! Once a while, hanging over the seaside, viewing the mother nature, relaxing, enjoying the breeze is quite fun. But one thing matter is that all of us will be getting a darker skin, hopefully no sunburn after that!
