Haze

I blame the Indonesia fire and also the locally induced fire in Klang Valley that makes the air-pollution a hazard to all of us. The environment and air quality drops significantly, whereby, many people falls sick, and even children also affected by this!

My little Carmen and myself is a victim to this. Carmen has been having her cough and flu on and off last 3 weeks already, till yesterday, myself was down with stuffy nose and sore throat. I didnt see any doctor, i just consume my leftover medications in the fridge. That's why i always feels sleepy, and if i do not sleep after the medication, my headache will come *sigh*.

I wonder why the farmers in Klang Valley resort to burnt their plantation field to get rid of the unwanted grass and plants. Cant they do it in another proper way? I believe the enforcement officer didn't take any strict action to those who started the fire. And Indonesia is another famous country who started fire easily created the haze o their neighbourhood countries!

Fun Fair @ Giant 12.07.09

Elephant Ride

Happily moving her steering wheel at the rear seat

Donald Duck Ride

Daddy wants accompany, but not allowed for children ride

Wow, Monday comes so fast after a weekend. Yesterday after a satisfying dinner at Klang town for the famous steam lala, we head to Giant at Bukit Tinggi, where we stay, to bring our little Carmen to the Fun Fair just open last weekend. Baby Jeanne not allowed to go, because she is too young, somemore, the weather and air quality is bad out there.

Carmen have lots of fun over there. I notice that she has grown up now, as she can play by herself, for those safe rides. Her Daddy accompany her with those rides that needs supervision. We gone home and prepare to sleep, while Carmen keep on asking us to show her the video of her taken at her school the other day. She seems to like the video very much, she wants to watch it every night and sing the song as well. I think this video helps, she started to tell me that she wants to go to school.

My first week resume work

After a long confinement leave, i was finally back to my workstation on 07.07.2009 Tuesday. I am having a hard time in juggling between my family and also work. The most difficult part is handling Carmen, including of sending and fetching her to and from school. She tends to throw tantrum before and after school, while i am pretty busy when return to office. Hopefully, she will be getting better soon.

I have over a thousand of mails to read through once report in office. Well, i finally finished up reading all my mails on the second day back to work, and from the third day onwards, i am deemed fit and ready to go out for sales call. I do hope that i can adjust myself to suits the working environment and family issues.

I am in a very confuse state, whereby, thinking of to quit or not to quit my current job, stay home to be a full time housewife. Hubby did suggest to me that i no longer need to work, stay at home to take care of both of our kids, Carmen and Jeanne. He will hire a maid for me, but, i rejected his proposal, as i want to work till next Chinese New Year, before i decide on my next move. If really hubby wants a third baby (will be our last baby), then, most probably i will resign after giving birth on our third baby, latest by third baby reaching 6 months.

I am really in dillemma when i hear Carmen cries, not wanting to go to school. Even in her sleep, she will dream and even talk in her sleep about not wanting to go to school! She has phobia going to school, but the teacher was saying that she is a well-behaved girl in school, a fast learner, and stay very active at school.I think maybe i should spend more time with her to let her familiarized with her school environment? Or i just simply do not spend enough time to prepare her mentally and phisically to school? What else can i do?

Baby Jeanne is also another issue that worries me. She tends to cry a lot, and i dare not to become fulltime mother to take care of her, as she is not easy to handle. I hope that she will improve in the next few months as she grows. I am happy to see her growing from week to week. She tends to gain weight and always giving us her sweet smiles nowadays!

The outfit chosen by herself ...... a jumper!

Carmen began her school at Smart Reader Junior about 2 weeks ago, one of the best pre-school i can find in my neighbourhood. At this young age of 2, i believe most of the children out there still stay at home or at least to be taken care by nanny. But i have seen a few children below 2 years old attending pre-school, so called nursery. I always support children go to school instead of staying at home, while their parents or nanny does not have any spare time to teach them. After these 2 weeks attending school, i can see some progress or changes in her. Some good signs and bad habits develop as well.

The good thing is that she is able to:

1~ converse and understand more English

2~ naming and recognizing colors
3~ counting 1-6

4~ reading of alphabet ABCD

5~ eat a lot during dinner time, and being able to feed herself, without me forcing her to eat
6~ develop a bedtime routine, sleep earlier than usual, wake up on time
7~ become very talkative and will remind herself to behave

And the bad habit that appears are:

1~ crying every night before falling asleep
2~ crying till vomiting in the morning
3~ do not allow her Daddy to work in the morning

Anyone out there can give me some comments and recommendations on this issue :

How am i going to deal with a "CRYING CHILD"?

Just brought out from the labour room

I start to worry on my 7 month of pregnancy, as my baby is still in breech position. Even till my delivery due date getting nearer, my baby is still staying at the same position, therefore, a caesarean birth is recommended by my gynae. Baby Jeanne was finally born on 05.05.2009, Tuesday at 8.38 am. She is weighing 3.54kg, head measurement at 37cm, while her height is 53cm. I am being blessed with another baby girl, and thank god that she was born healthy.

Time really flies, i return to my in-laws house for 1 month confinement, and back to my own house in Klang straight away after fullmoon, i cant stand staying in an outskirt area, and being apart from my hubby. And now, Jeanne almost reaching 2 months old in another few days, and it's almost time for me to report back to work.

I pity Jeanne, as she stayed with the babysitter, till weekend only we will bring her home. Unlike previously, we used to visit Carmen at least once a week at babysitter home, brought her back on weekend also. Whenever we are free, we will bring her back home. Now, we are quite busy, me busy taking care Carmen, while hubby busy with work, finish work late daily, and most of the Sundays, being occupied by work.

I have a feeling of quitting my job, and stay at home. But, i am not ready to take care of young baby. I know i will get mad taking care of 2 kids at a time. Perhaps, if time permits, i will quit after Chinese New Year, else, after my third baby, if hubby really want another baby. I swear the third baby will be my last pregnancy!

Bad Day

Yesterday has been a very bad day for me, hubby, and also our little Carmen. At the beginning, we thought that it will be a free and easy, happy morning for us, as we all decided to go back Ipoh, bringing our little Carmen along. Hubby is quite free today, already done his work arrangements at the site, while i always free at home after sending Carmen to school. As a result, i picked up Carmen again from her school, to bring her back Ipoh with us, as we are afraid that we cant make it in time to pick her up from school later evening.

Hubby has an old car that he uses to drive his workers to work everyday, now, he needs to send the car back to Ipoh for sale. He has bought my sister's Kelisa, now the car is at my parent's house, so, we are going back to get it. At the same time, we can visit my parents also, after not seeing them for quite sometimes after my delivery of my baby Jeanne.

The moment we start our journey, we checked the car, found out that 1 tyre punctured, so we tends to change it for safety reason. End up, we changed 2 tyres, as both tyre punctured. We proceed our journey, and the car suddenly stop working after 1 hour journey, upon reaching Bukit Tagar exit, we have to stop by the highway, waiting for the assistance from the highway authority.

Some towing company people pretends to give assistance to us, free of charge, claiming that the highway authority called them to give their assistance, towing our car to the nearby workshop at Bukit Beruntung, said to be owned by their boss, so we followed. Upon reaching the workshop, the man, asked for money from my hubby. We also pay, as we are already brought to the workshop. No point argue with them also.

The workshop owner charged us sky high price to fix the car, so i called up my uncle for assistance, and managed to get the estimated amount of towing and fixing the car charges. After a series of discussion with the workshop boss, he lowered down the price, and even asked us to sell him our car. We end up, selling our car to him at the offered price, and we wanted to leave the place ASAP to go back Ipoh to get our Kelisa. There will be another one and a half hour journey for us to reach Ipoh.

I believe when a businessman do business, he must be in a genuine way, only will gain thrust from customers. The reason i said this is because i notice that the boss of the workshop is not treating us in honesty. By the time everything is confirmed, and even after his own inspection on the car, he revert and claimed that he still have to test drive the car after he fix it, if the condition is not satisfy to him, he may reject the car. In such a way, he gain business, while we are at the losing end! I just wonder why people do business in such a way.

The boss, making us waiting there for more than 1 hour, as he promise to send us to the nearest bus station in Tanjung Malim for us to board a bus back Ipoh, and he even demands money from us to send us to the bus station. I feel bad, as he is really a pure calculative businessman, not giving any service to his customers, everything also talk about money. Well, we pay him for the service as well, as we do not want to argue with him, our main purpose is to reach Ipoh fast.

It was a coincidence that hubby's brother is working in Tanjung Malim, so we end up waiting for him to fetch us, we dont have to take bus home, at least, Carmen can have a good sleep in the car. We waited him at a restaurant nearby. On our journey to the bus station, hubby receive a bad news from his company, one of his worker collapsed after inhaling toxic gas, and his body being poured by acid. The worker was being rushed to hospital. Hubby was so worried, not able to eat well, and headache the whole day, as he was not around there to help out.

We reached Malim Nawar, my in-laws house, around 8pm at night, after accompany hubby's brother to work in Tanjung Malim. The journey for today is really very hectic for us, while our little Carmen already so exhausted and throwing tantrum. The old couple is very happy seeing us arrived there with our little Carmen. We all are very hungry, i eat a lot that night. After our dinner, we take our bath, rest a while, and head back to Klang straight away.

We started our journey at 9.30pm, reaching Klang at 12.00am, it's a full day journey for us! We began our plan to go back Ipoh as early as 9.30am, till 12.00am the next day only we reach our home! Carmen sleeps thru all the way back, without waking up, while hubby stop by Ulu Bernam R&R to buy some coffee, he highly recommended the coffee sold there to me, freshly blend from coffee beans. It is consider cheap, below RM5/cup, and the taste is not bad! At least there is something i can say "good" happen to my taste bud on that day.

Spoiled Child

Mini Burger Candies

Fishy Biscuits

Bubble Toy Frog

Kids nowadays are being too pampered by their parents. Not only parents pampered their own children, but grandparents also play an important role. Most of the time, grandparents are the ones who spoiled their grandchildren. Every parents love their children, and want the very best for their own children, and yes, me too are the same. I believe that lately, i lose my temper very easily, as i have to cope with my after birth trauma, and yet, taking care of both girls.

No doubt that they are still young, need to be taught and brought up in a good manner. As you are aware, Carmen falls sick, i need to pamper her more than usual, and spare her with something that she wants, in order to keep her mouth shut, by not making her to cry, or at least to a minimal, because crying child tends to accumulates wind in their stomach, makes vomit easily. I have to spared her with some new toy and candies.
