Mothers Day Celebration 08.05.2011

Me & Carmen, too bad, without Jeanne around as we send her back to babysitter house!

Salted Giant Mantis Prawn

Look, the size of the Mantis Prawn is the size of the rice serving plate!

This Turbot fish dish from Australia cost RM200, worth it!

Marmite Baby Sotong, untouched until the end, because the other 2 dishes taste superb!

Carmen seems enjoying the prawn very much!

I never thought of hubby will bring me out for Mothers' Day celebration. I just treat it as usual outing for dinner on Sunday night after sending my baby Jeanne to the babysitter house. Every restaurant was so crowded, so, i suggested to him a seafood restaurant nearby our place, pretty near to the sea which sells live seafood.

The restaurant was crowded, but they serves food pretty fast. Within half an hour, our food are ready on the table. We only order 3 dishes, but, we cant really finish it! The food are marvelous and i appreciate it very much!

Thanks Smart Reader for making it happen! We are longing for more to events come.......Carmen and myself having a great time getting around and enjoying the food too!

Mini Cupcakes

 My Homemade Mini Cupcakes

Lately, i've been trying a few recipes for baking at home! We were invited to join a Pot-Luck party at Carmen's school on 07.05.2011 to celebrate Mothers' Day there. I decided to bake some mini cupcakes for the kids, and hopefully the adults may like it too.

I have been preparing a day earlier. My first round i did banana flavor cake, turn out to be nice! The second round, i baked butter cake. Who knows that it taste even better than the earlier banana cake, as it's more fluffy! I baked the second round to filled up the container as it is only half full after the first round! The container is too big, no choice, i have to re-fill it to make it nicer!

I'm glad that the teachers said the taste is nice, and they prefer mine compared to those nice looking cupcakes that the other parents bought to school! Hooray......at least i have got some compliments for the hardwork i have been through!

Jeanne's 2nd Birthday

The Birthday cake bought by my eldest brother for Jeanne birthday in Ipoh

On the actual day, we only bring her to dine out and buying her a piece of Secret Recipi's cake
After dinner @ Vietnam Kitchen, Carmen happily posing with the giant Rabbit!

I just do not know why Jeanne cling on to me, fearing of the giant rabbit!

Time really flies, my youngest girl is now 2 years old! I do hope that she will become a good girl, stay healthy and god keep her safe wherever she is. That's my wish for her!

I just notice that most of the time, my 2 girls will celebrate their birthday at least 2 times a year. Both of them consider lucky, as we will plan a close family celebration, follow my their paternal grandparents, and Carmen even have 1 more celebration at her school!

Carmen & Jeanne

We celebrated Mothers Day & my Mom's birthday 2 in 1! Her actual birthday is on 16th of May, that we normally have a 2 in 1 celebration as the days are near. This year, me and my sister will be traveling to Bangkok, therefore, we plan a dinner for her 2 weeks earlier, better still, the restaurant will not be so crowded. We had our family dinner at Royal China Restaurant, the restaurant where my eldest brother had his wedding last month.

All our brothers, sisters, and their spouse attended, including our offspring, except my eldest sister were busy working. It's a surprise for Mom, as she never know that we are organizing for her. We prepared a bouquet of nice daisy flowers and a homemade cake for this event. I miss out to capture the flowers and cake because of too busy handling my 2 little angels! I can assured you that's it's a nice ones! Thrust me!

I told her this is gonna be the birthday dinner for my youngest girl, Jeanne as her birthday is very near. I hope Mom had an unforgettable birthday this year, may she be in good health and be guarded by god to keep her healthy & happy always!

Easter Day

Carmen wants to pose with the egg she brought home!

Carmen brought home from school with an Easter Egg yesterday. I wonder when the day will be? After checking, only i know that the actual day falls on 24.04.2011. Easter Day will falls on different date each year. According to the Canonical gospels, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. His resurrection is celebrated on Easter Day.

In fact, i doubt what is the connection of the eggs with the day? Easter eggs are special eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter. The egg is a pagan symbol of the rebirth of the Earth in celebrations of spring and was adopted by early Christians as a symbol of the resurrection of Jesus.

The oldest tradition is to use dyed or painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. These eggs are often hidden, allegedly by the Easter Bunny, for children to find on Easter morning. Otherwise, they are generally put in a basket filled with real or artificial straw to resemble a bird's nest.
