Balik Kampung 21.08.2010 ~ 29.08.2010

Carmen is again back to Kampung staying with my in-laws this week! We will have a quiet time at home this week without her around. It means that she will no need to attend school for a week. Since she will start her actual kindergarten class next year, so i spared her with more holidays this year. I was so surprised that children nowadays have to attend kindergarten at the age of 4. But, it is the true fact. Pity on those little children.

A Visit To Seremban 21.08.2010

I dont know how to spell out the baby name, but her parents called her "MUK MUK"

The baby posting with her grandma & my SIL!

My in-laws wanted to visit my SIL in Seremban, as they have not been seeing her and her baby for a few months after they left Malim Nawar for confinement. I followed them to visit her in Seremban. The baby really growing fast. She looks exactly like her Daddy, as you can see the picture. But some of them commented that the baby looks like my Carmen & Jeanne! I cant really see any resemblance of them at all!

Hubby' Birthday 17.08.2010

My All Time Favorite Chocolate Indulgence from Secret Recipe!

This year we are celebrating Hubby's birthday with both our families as we went for a KK Trip together. It's actually a surprise for him, as i didn't mentioned to him about this event at all.

After a hectic day of sightseeing and visiting places, while on the way back to our Hotel, i asked the driver to stop by Secret Recipe shop and bringing Carmen along to choose a cake for hubby. My MIL followed, she insisted she wanna buy a cake for his beloved second son. So i just grant her wish and let her pay! : )

I believe that hubby started to feels uneasy as he suspected something, and embarrass that we actually celebrated his birthday. As an adult, we hardly celebrate birthday in a big group of relatives, i know for sure he feels embarrass, but i think it gonna be an unforgettable event.

It's simple, cake cutting at the hotel lounge and everyone were praising me for choosing a good tasting cake, which is also my favorite choice of "Chocolate Indulgence" from Secret Recipe! Even the cake was big, we managed to finished up 3/4 of the cake after a very filling dinner by the seaside of grilled seafood. Amazing...........

Help! Asthma Attack My Girls

Singulair 10mg is the latest medication in curing allergic children

It has been months that the asthma attack my Carmen & Jeanne. Carmen heals within a month time, while Jeanne took almost more than 2 months to heal completely. Hubby blaming me that they inherited the bad genes from my family side.

During our younger days, all my brothers and sisters also went through this stage, where the asthma no longer persist after we reached our primary school. Professionals called this as allergies nowadays instead of asthma. Both of the girls have cow's milk allergies, they cant consume any milk powder made from cow's milk, since babies, they only have soy bean milk.

Pediatrician recommends us to continue both of them with the "SINGULAIR" medication for a year long. The medication is quite costly, RM5 per tablet per day per person. if it does help, it is worthwhile. Previously Carmen had have it and stop when she recovered as some other doctors mainly recommended a month or 3 months long. Now it will be a one-year long medication for both of them. I hope the medication really can help to improve and heal both of them!

My Homecooked Sea Algae - Seaweed Dessert

My Home-cookedSeaweed Dessert

Ingredients:

Sea Algae - soaked in cold water 2-4 hours
Rock / Cane Sugar
Dried Longan
Dried Sweetened Melon
Red Dates

It's easy to make. Follow the steps below, as easy as ABC 1-2-3:

1. Bring the Cane / Rock Sugar, Dried Longan, Dried Sweetened  Melon, Red Dates to boil.
2. Left the whole pot of soup and ingredients above to cold, make sure cold completely.
3. Washed, drained and cut the seaweed into small pieces, pour into the cold boiled soup and it's ready!

Seaweed is high in iodine, and the local people in KK called it bird's nest from the sea, perhaps the nutrients in the seaweed is similar to the nutrients from bird's nest (i think so). I've got some recipes from the aunty who sold me the seaweed in the market. I decided to try up and modified a bit on the recipe to suits our own taste. It's my first attempt to cook this dessert, hope it works on well. From the pictures you have seen here, i believe you'll know the taste! Hubby loves it! Me also like it, but Carmen only favor the longan and soup only!
