After the much awaited time, finally it's the time to anticipate the arrival of my lovely niece! She was born 10 days apart from my own birthday! Congratulations to my sister (Alice Yip) & brother in-law (Ken Lye) for the arrival of their little angel! She will be named Callis Lye.....wonder how to pronounce her name in Chinese as she does not have any chinese name at all!

I was introduce by a colleague to make HOMEMADE chocolates. His wife always do it at home. They favor the dark chocolates, while i favor milk chocolates. I requested him to help me buy the ingredients for a trial session. He was so kind, he assisted me to buy and send me the next day!

I am going for a trial, and if successful, i will make more as CNY is around the corner! It was a success at the first attempt. So, i will make more when i am free. Carmen will be my little helper to garnish the chocolates. I plan to give some to my parents, brothers and sisters and my in-laws too! There were just too many designs that you can make with your own creativity!

We have got no plan for the celebration. Furthermore, now feeling old already, not as excited as before. Some more, it's a working day for me and hubby. I did not ask for any gift, so does hubby never ask me what i want. He knows me best, he know that  i will buy what i like at anytime. I do not have to wait until my birthday to get anything i like. Luckily, so far, he will never raise any question.

I am another year older now! We are having a very simple celebration this year. Only family dinner, with my baby Jeanne missing, because it's too late to bring her along. We both finish work late. We went to the Selangor Royal Yatch Club as a last minute decision, for a dinner, viewing and appreciating those luxury yatch parking by the side of the restaurant. Thanks to my childhood friend who presented me with this birthday cake!

Carmen often follow me into the kitchen. She observes what i did for cooking, she started to develop interest in cooking. She always wanted to help me out in the kitchen. I used to cook fried rice for her during the weekend. She will ask me to assign her with some work and she insisted wanting to help me out. Normally i will ask her to break the eggs, add seasoning and stir it for me.

Today, we will be cooking spaghetti carbonara. I did a simple one out of the scratch. My little chef Carmen getting busy in the kitchen helping out!

I am free today, i am not working. So, i plan to bring Carmen to Mid Valley & The Gardens for shopping. We head for our breakfast at Sushi King. It 's Carmen favorite restaurant! It was very crowded today as the restaurant having their visitors, full of kindergarten students and teachers. They are having a site visit! It's just nice that Carmen is following, she can observe the others even though not participating! It's good to expose her with something she has not been doing before.

We had our breakfast cum lunch there in a noisy environment, and our last order from was a dessert; green tea ice cream with red bean and mochi. Half way we enjoying the ice cream, only we notice that our order comes without red bean! I confronted the waitress, and the manager gave us another cup of ice cream on the house! It's unexpected........and thank you very much!
